Trade Marketing Manager H/F

Basé(e) à Limonest


Purpose of Position

  • Increase revenue through distribution including National, DIY, Food and Online Accounts
  • Driving agreed sales and marketing strategies through effective execution across customer base
  • Develop and implement quarterly promotional campaigns and sales driving initiatives
  • New Product Introductions – working closely with Product Managers, Brand Managers and Account teams to achieve No. 1 or 2 market share position in category



  • Develop a thorough understanding of the market landscape:

    • Establish customer and end user needs and requirements
    • Monitor and analyse competitor products, pricing, promotions, etc. to product / brand managers to assist in formulating plans
  • Deliver effective local market commercialisation of new products for FRA market
  • Work with KAM’s to develop and manage ongoing account plans to deliver on agreed company objectives
  • Development of medium to long term promotional planning (NPI / Promo / Range review etc.)
  • Develop multi-tier / department relationships with key retailers
  • Work to identify new customer opportunities and implement suitable strategies
  • Work to identify new product category growth opportunities
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects eg. organisation of internal and external events (customer events and training, sale conferences, planning sessions etc.)
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with internal and external organisations to drive business through new channels and focus areas


  • Maximise opportunities from central (EANZ) campaigns / initiatives and develop new local market campaigns / initiatives
  • Ensuring sell-in and implementation of FRA and European promotions
  • Development of effective account (and channel) specific strategies for NPI
  • Maximising exposure and awareness via effective PR and Advertising, Digital and Social Media marketing (including account specific opportunities)
  • Work with KAM’s within specific accounts to manage core ranges in line with agreed product objectives (i.e. range management)
  • Minimise the complexity of product ranges and stock holding, including promotional variants
  • Identify and develop POS / merchandising and general communications material requirements
  • Briefing and management of various marketing agencies – creative; PR; Research; Advertising etc.
  • Ensure that the sales force are fully equipped with the necessary literature, sales aids and competitor / market information to be able to maximise sales opportunities
  • Working with Trade Operations Team ensuring their activities are aligned with key strategic drivers (NPIs / promotions / campaigns)
  • Monitor E&O levels and implement plans with sales team and customers to reduce below target levels
  • Work with Account teams / Product Managers / Supply Chain to highlight information to influence forecasting trends by interpreting customer / market requirements, monitoring sales patterns and allowing for market / promotional activity
  • Monitor GSV and SGM performance in conjunction with Product Managers / the Business Insight team. Use this information to identify new opportunities and drive the sales team to deliver against agreed objectives via their respective accounts
  • Work with Business Insight team to analyse, interpret and form intelligence from both internal reports and external market reports and research, to feed into recommendations for activities
  • Manage all plans and implementation within agreed Promotional budget


Skills / Competencies / Behaviours

  • Maturity and experience to perform and deliver at a senior Sales & Marketing level, involving liaison at all levels within the organisation
  • Strong understanding of the FRA customer / competitor landscape
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (key business functions – Finance / Operations / Customer Service / Product Management and Brand Management teams etc.)
  • Sound working knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Team player
  • Intelligent thinker, strategic planner, focussed and priority driven
  • Strong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approach
  • Ability to work to deadlines and deliver work of a consistently high level under time pressure

  • Degree or equivalent level. GCSE Maths and English essential
